One skill that really helped me out that I got most from high school has been my talking skills. I used to be extremely shy whenever it came to talking to anyone but ever since sophomore year I managed to improve by being able to communicate with other classmates or small seminars that would allow me to speak. It has helped me by asking questions if I have any doubts in an assignment that I may have questions in. It has also helped me to interact with other co-workers around me.
Externship has been different from projects I've done in high school because im working with children who are younger so most of the things they are being taught are by having a teacher teach them. They worked on an insect project and the way they made it work was similar to high school projects because you were able to bring in some creativity into the project by designing it.
